The Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours| is a three-and-a-half-year programme designed to produce competent data science professionals equipped with strong mathematical, programming, statistical modelling, data visualization, machine learning, analytical and managerial skills. Aligning with UMP’s vision as a distinguished Technological University, the programme integrates IR 4.0 elements such as automation, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence. Offered in both Coursework and Industry (2u2i) modes, students undergo industry-relevant learning through data science projects, hands-on tools including Python, R, Tableau and RapidMiner, and industrial training or Work-Based Learning (WBL). Graduates are prepared for careers as data analysts and data scientists across sectors such as business services, IT, telecommunications and banking, meeting Malaysia’s growing demand for data-driven decision-making talent.
